A General Dentist is responsible for providing comprehensive preventative, restorative and cosmetic dental care to patients. They examine teeth and diagnose conditions such as tooth decay, gum disease or other abnormalities. The Dentist will then use a variety of treatment techniques to maintain oral health including scaling and root planing, composite fillings, crowns/bridges, extractions and dentures etc. They also provide patient education on how to best maintain optimal oral hygiene at home through brushing and flossing habits etc.
